Octavio Blanco is a financial news editor at CNNMoney with over 20 years experience. He is currently also serving on CNN's Diversity Council spearheading an initiative for English Speaking Latino Audience development. Octavio is also vice president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists' NYC Chapter. He began his career in broadcast news and transitioned to online news about nine years ago. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian and is passionate about Latino issues. He is especially interested in bringing more balanced reporting from Latin America to English-speaking Latino and non-latino U.S. audiences.
